Inner Child Healing

The importance of inner child healing.

My time at the academy was very short lived. I was never good enough to be chosen. I recall that experience not very fondly, it was an uncomfortable and unpleasant time. Each week, I felt my self-worth diminish more and more as the sadness of not being good enough became too much. I was fearful of being judged and was  disappointed in myself for never being chosen. I probably went home after practice and managed my emotions by eating a packet of chips in front of the TV (this part I don’t recall lol). It didn’t take long until I gave up dancing.

Doing inner child healing can be such an empowering gift to yourself, as it allows you to understand yourself and your experiences on a deeper level. It gives you the power to release the influence of your past and helps you to redefine your future. Past Age Clearing & Healing (PACH) is an incredible technique that can assist you in your inner child healing and it can also help with past life healing too.

If you need help with this process, I am here to assist.

When I was in primary school, I joined a dance academy. One day each week, I would attend an afternoon practice to learn a new dance routine. Each week the very best dancers were chosen to attend a recital to showcase their skills and represent the academy. It was always the same dancers chosen. Girls and boys who had been dancing ever since they first learnt how to walk.

Rather than enjoy the process of learning a new skill, I learnt to focus on the outcome. I learnt that the judgement of others was a true representation of myself. I learnt that perfection and being the very best was something I had to achieve. I learnt to be fearful of learning a new skill or hobby as failure and disappoint were were likely to result and I also learnt to give up when things became too uncomfortable or difficult.

I find it illuminating to look back and reflect on this experience, and notice how many behaviors and beliefs I developed during this short period and how this time had shaped me. Or perhaps I had experiences at an even younger age that created these beliefs, and I was only engraving them deeper into my subconscious as I grew older and lived many other experiences. I wonder what other experiences from my childhood has shaped the person I am today.

I have not written this to seek pity or sympathy, rather to remind you of how important it is for each one of us to look within and do inner child healing. We carry so many outdated and limiting attitudes and beliefs about ourselves, others, and the world from our childhood, that have now become our behaviours, habits and form part of our personality. They lay hidden within our subconscious and continue to play such an active role in the way we perceive our ourselves and our lives. They no longer serve us.
